We got this. Contrary to the long-standing mythology about the inevitability of endless conflict and strife among people everywhere, we humans are quite capable of living together peacefully. We are led to believe that the endless turmoil is simply part of who we are, as inevitable and endless as the tides.

This is the fundamental lie about our species, the one on which all the other lies are built. It’s not a feature – it’s a bug. And it has been created and maintained intentionally.

Rodney King famously (and, I believe, rhetorically) asked “Why can’t we all just get along?”
